ABOUT US
The
Johnson Foundation, Inc. was founded on February 20, 2017 by Ethel Olivia
Johnson, MPA. We are a Federal Tax Exempted Non-profit Scholarship Foundation
that shares a passionate commitment around a common purpose: the welfare
advancement of students and young individuals.
The foundation board consists of three educated members who share a
passion for education and its value. Ms.
Carla White, MPA –Vice President, Mr. Michael Harroway, BA –Secretary and Mrs.
Latonya Luke, MPA, PhD –Treasurer. The
scholarship was created in hopes of eliminating hardship on high school
students before enrolling in college.
It
has been observed that a lot of students tend to struggle with the financial
burden in the freshman year of their college education. Which is why we have
taken the bold step to empower students by providing the necessary support,
encouraging them and overall, playing a significant role in their journey to success
in life.
The
Johnson Foundation, Inc. also provide aid to homeless individuals such as:
purchasing sleeping bags, can goods, blankets for them and we also make care
bags that consist of sealed food, socks, gloves, soap, toothpaste and the
likes.

GOALS
*To
raise scholarships funds for graduating high school seniors
*To Award two (2)- three (3) students cash
scholarships each Spring Semester
*To
assist students in purchasing needed essentials for college education
(comforters, laptops, refrigerators, televisions & etc.
*To
receive donations from external bodies and individuals
*To
help underprivileged families purchase
food, school uniforms & school supplies

MISSION
The
Johnson Foundation, Inc. mission is to increase the retention rate of at risk
high school seniors to obtain a higher education. As a foundation, we are very
interested in the welfare of students and the furthering of their education.

VISION
Within
the next five years, The Johnson Foundation, Inc. will have helped eliminate
financial burdens on families, students and homeless individuals by helping
families purchase Christmas and Thanksgiving meals, giving students a full
first semester ride to college and providing shelter for the homeless.
OUR PROGRAMS
Program
1: Helping high school seniors purchase the needed essentials for college
start-up.
Program 2: Provide aid to homeless individuals
Program 3: Provide school uniforms & supplies for underprivileged elementary
student families.
